Emily Steinhauer on Hilda Weiss

Interesting new article by Emily Steinhauer on Hilda Weiss, which considers “her place in interwar industrial sociology, and her role in shaping the methodology of the Frankfurt School, casting her as an ‘activist intellectual’ for whom social research was closely intertwined with political ends. I argue that through this approach, Weiss developed a worker-centric, engaged sociology that would foster a model of political change through pedagogy.”
