Experimenting with the California tobacco control data used by Abadie, Diamond, and Hainmueller (2010) – here I’m comparing synthetic controls with entropy balancing. The results are remarkably similar, except I had to drop some covariates to get the entropy balancing to find a solution. To be continued…
